Epitaxic chalcopyrite on sphalerite is classic from a multitude of ore bodies across the world. I have always liked the association and it's endless variations. This piece is from new mining in 2015 and shows the characteristic preferential over-growths typical of the process. Matrix is deep gray boulangerite-included calcite with associated sphalerite.
