A carving of an arrowhead made from transparent light blue fluorite with purple bands. The tradition of fashioning fluorite into decorative objects started with Paleo-Native Americans thousands of years ago. Typically small animals and beads were created from fluorite found as float or sourced from exposure on outcrops. This is a contemporary carving fashioned by one of the miners in the district. Well made, attractive and colloquial folk art piece.
