Plate of lustrous, zoned yellow and purple fluorite with pronounced mosaic or 'hoppered' surfaces. Nice attractive group of fluorite from advance mining ca. 1980-1982. Condition notes: corner nick/cleave on one edge-most crystal and a few very minor edge nicks on group. Sam & Ann Koster Collection. Entered into Ross C. Lillie database as RCL2581.
Database notes: Provenance: Sam & Ann Koster Collection; sold to Ross Lillie at their home in Houston 2016. Note main ore body characteristics: accentuated overgrowth of purple fluorite on yellow fluorite; good surface luster; localized internal etching coincidental with purple areas. Very uncommon to find this type of spar in groups- most are found as detached, profoundly etched corners.
