Elongated, white calcite calcite crystals, to 3 cm, on zoned blue and yellow fluorite. There are multiple smaller calcite crystals oriented like shark teeth up and down the C-axis of the larger crystals. This is a type of twinning I have seen many times from the Bethel Level and is one the hallmarks of the upper level. The specimen has the usual minor issues with condition like small cleaves off a few points which are pretty much universal with these combinations. The fluorite has fine color and also exhibits one of the hallmarks of the Bethel Level as the zoning is oriented at an angle across the cubic plane. Mined ca. 1970s. I would attribute this piece as hoisted from either the M.F. Oxford #7 or #4 shafts. Betty Kalaskie Collection #117. Entered into Ross C. Lillie database as RCL2624.
