NSMW12245
Combination of acicular calcite and sky blue fluorite. This type of calcite is very prevalent on and distinctive of the upper-most levels of the Cave-in-Rock district and lends the attribution to the Bethel level. The Green complex at this horizon is either the East or North Green Mines: a contiguous ore body only separated by property line. Fluorite has one small cleave off a corner and calcites show typical tiny termination cleaves. Mined ca. 1960s. Charles Noll Collection #cn1624. Note: affixed label IIA-148 is from the Jim DuFoe collection and the likely broker to Mr. Noll.
