Lovely light purple polished fluorite octahedron with good internal zoning and purple bands. Polished octahedrons and just octahedrons in general are a folk art from the district and were fashioned by the miners and company workers for generations. Literally millions and millions found there way into thousands of mineral collections over a timespan of over 140 years. This piece was cut and polished c. 1980s-1990s and judged by the color and collection it came from is attributed to the Harris Creek District with the Denton or Annabel Lee Mines as the source.
