Reddish-purple sharply cubic fluorite crystals, typically 1.5-2 cm, stacked over sphalerite-rich limestone matrix with associated lustrous light yellow calcite. The color of fluorite, association with this type of calcite, presence of light brown sphalerite and association with micro-quartz on limestone are all indicative of the Deardorff Complex. Mined ca. 1940s-1950s. Small cleave on one crystal and a tiny chip on another but for the era of mining it is in really good condition. Tolonen Collection. Entered into Ross C. Lillie Collection database as RCL2557.
