This is one of the rarest specimens I have acquired from the Dr. Perry & Anne Bynum Collection. A unique group of stalactitic-like calcite showing branching lustrous arms and straw forms on massive white calcite matrix. Note yellow fluorite imbedded in matrix as indicative of the upper levels of the district. It is apparent from the material that I have acquired from the Bynum collection that they had really good contacts with the miners working for Ozark-Mahoning in the great days of Cave-in-Rock production. This would compliment any southern Illinois suite or calcite collection. Mined 1976-1977 from Bynum notes. Dr. Perry & Anne Bynum Collection. In excellent condition. (Added to Ross C.
