Mounded group of spear-point, light brown, lustrous calcite with massive vein-type calcite matrix. Condition: excellent. Provenance: Jim DuFoe Collection #84; sold to Charles Noll ca. 1970s (Noll #CN2450); donated to Marquette University; brokered by Seaman Museum; sold to Ross Lillie at Tucson show 2016. Excellent sharp group of crystals from a rare location. Entered into Ross C. Lillie database as RCL2569. Database notes: Attribution: shiny divergent sprays and groups of light brown, spear-point scalenohedrons; massive white, vein-type calcite matrix; episodic nature of calcite deposition; personal communication with Ward Palmer of Palmer's Trading Post who was familiar with Fairbairn Mine and sold similar specimens to me ca. 1980 (RCL) all point to this location.
