Sam and Ann Koster Collection

Sam & Ann Koster began collecting minerals in 1980 with an initial purchase of rose quartz specimens from Brazil. This first purchase led to a life-long interest. Now, the collection is worldwide and has focused suites of Rhodochrosite, Malachite and Fluorite with special emphasis on Southern Illinois, Bulgaria, Tsumeb and Russia among others. Both Mr. and Ms. Koster are geologists (now happily retired in the Houston area) and worked in the Oil & Gas industry.
