Cluster of prismatic quartz with hundreds of incised lines slicing lines across the surface. The lines are evidence of preferential dissolution of calcite that had formed simultaneously with the quartz. Fascinating specimen from Dal'negorsk and one of my favorite types of quartz from the district. Contacted crystals off to lower edge of right side and tiny nick on top of one crystal: main portion of display area is in excellent condition. Mined ca. early 2000's.
