A thin slab of sphalerite matrix separates two clusters of purple fluorite. These are formed in sections of the ore body where there is copious fluid movement and replacement. The specimen would have been found in a horizontal position as the sphalerite and fluorite replaced horizontal limestone units. Mined c. late 1988-1989. Sam and Ann Koster Collection.
