SOLD There were a series of great finds of calcite from the Spokane area that produced a number of excellent calcite specimens associated with palygorskite. One can find these in old collections and on display in museums but the location has essentially disappeared from the market. This specimen shows stacked groups of flattened white rhombs with distinctive silky white palygorskite on matrix. Mined c. 1970s. Eric Petersen Collection. Minor edge abrasion on a couple of crystals but overall in excellent condition.
