Semi-transparent, lustrous tabular barite crystals, up to 7 cm, on altered limestone matrix. The main two crystals are just barely interconnected on matrix and 'V' out towards the terminations. There are also 'worm tracks' on the matrix that are clearly seen as curved, hollow tubes. It is this phenomenon that produced the fluid conduits that enabled the pockets. A fine specimen in great condition from the best contemporary occurrence of barite in the Midwest in decades.
