Fine, elongated spear point "needle ore" hematite from the great iron district of northern Michigan.  Specimen shows all the features desirable of this habit.  Note: Painted number - based on Dana system - indicates specimen likely deaccessioned from Cranbrook Institute of Science.  Fine display specimen.
