During the pillar-robbing phase on this level, a fantastic pocket of pink strontianite was uncovered in April, 1995. The vug was just below the base of the Rosiclare Sandstone and produced the finest groups of pink strontianite from the Minerva #1. This specimen shows the rich pinkish color, crystals to 3.5 cm and nice association with fluorite. Minor termination nicks typical of the find. Rare. Ralph Campbell Collection: acquired from North Star Minerals at 1995 Cincinnati Mineral show.
