Satin luster calcite scalenohedrons to 5 cm on drusy galena with light purple fluorite crystals. Properly attributed specimens from Alcoa are rare particularly when the collector is known. This piece, collected by miner Keith Poindexter, circa 1958-1960, shows the distinctive color and habit of calcite typical of the Rosiclare vein type mines. Main crystal is cleaved, however, the specimen is historically very important.
