Quartz, Skeletal with Clay and Fluid Inclusions, Crow's Foot, N. of Wright City, Oklahoma, Dr. David London Collection L-229, Medium Cabinet 4.0 x 6.0 x 9.0 cm, $200. Online Sept. 30.
A quartz doublet showing parallel intergrowth with fine hoppered faces and localized inclusions of light brown clay. These were collected using a track hoe digging on a surface exposure extension of the great quartz fields in Arkansas. The location is off limits as the farmers who own the property do not allow collecting since the process leaves holes that cattle can injure themselves. Exceedingly rare and fine specimen from surface collecting about 32 years ago in 1982. Dr. David London Collection L-229. In pristine condition. Collected by Steve Due, Eagletown, Oklahoma, 1992.
