Plate of zoned pastel blue, lustrous, bladed barite with no attached matrix. Mining ceased in the district of Maramures in 2007 and as such specimens from there are only available from collections. The likelihood of mining resuming is extremely remote due to environmental considerations, depth of and lower-grade ore and competition. Excellent specimen in great condition.
